Pumpkin Point 2020
10AM-6PM daily, Saturday 10/24 through Sunday 11/1 in Nolan Park
Governors Island’s annual pumpkin patch, Pumpkin Point, returns this October! This year’s patch will feature thousands of pumpkins and fall-themed decorations arranged across the Island’s historic Nolan Park. Each visitor will be encouraged to take one pumpkin home with them, free of charge.
Pumpkin Point 2020 will be a socially distanced event with plenty of room for visitors to spread out and enjoy the patch. Governors Island visitors are required to maintain social distance of at least 6 feet and to wear face coverings whenever social distancing is not possible, and at all times when boarding, riding, and disembarking ferries.
Pumpkin Point will be open daily during the Island’s public hours beginning Saturday, October 24 through the last day of the 2020 public season, Sunday, November 1. Volunteer Island Ambassadors will be present Wednesdays through Sundays to assist visitors. Any pumpkins left over at the end of Pumpkin Point will be composted at Earth Matter NY’s Compost Learning Center on the Island or donated to local food pantries.
To ensure a safe environment for all visitors, concessions at Pumpkin Point and trick-or-treating activities will not be hosted this year.
Pumpkin Point is hosted by the Trust for Governors Island and the Friends of Governors Island.
