Art/​Bike/​View on Gov­er­nors Island Orig­i­nal­ly uploaded by governors_​island I had to post this pho­to­graph straight from Flickr because I LOVE this this pic­ture. It says so much about Gov­er­nors Island and what’s so excit­ing about being out here: art, bikes and amaz­ing views — espe­ical­ly of the Stat­ue of Lib­er­ty. We’ve men­tioned exhi­bi­tions by Fig­ment, Emer­gence, Sculp­tors Guild and Ola­fur Elias­son’s Water­falls in oth­er posts, but Gov­er­nors Island also has an amaz­ing com­mu­ni­ty of artists who use the Island as their stu­dio. Some of their work is on dis­play in Build­ing 408 — check it out!
