The Trust for Governors Island invites proposals to ground lease, redevelop, and operate Building 301, an approximately 23,000 square-foot single-story waterfront building on the Island, as a hub of commercial, non-profit, and/or academic uses related to sustainability and climate change. Incubator and accelerator programs are encouraged.

This opportunity offers the successful respondent the ability to create an impactful development project in a unique, campus-like setting minutes from Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. Tenants will be surrounded by award-winning open space; have access to 2.2 miles of car-free waterfront; and have the opportunity to engage and test concepts with a diverse and growing audience of nearly 1M annual visitors in a flexible and innovative public space. Building 301 is becoming available at an exciting moment in the Island’s transformation, is in an accessible and scenic location, and comes with 'shovel ready' 100% construction documents for a multi-suite commercial space.
