The Trust for Governors Island (“The Trust”) is seeking a general contractor for interior repairs to two duplex apartment units in Fort Jay. TGI is issuing this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) to seek proposals from prospective entities to make general repairs and upgrades in order to accommodate the overnight ferry crew. The following scope will be addressed to make the space suitable for occupancy: flooring repairs, sheetrock and plaster patching, painting, bathroom plumbing and heating system repairs.

The Trust for Governors Island (“TGI”) is seeking to engage contractors and consultants for on-call operations services to consult on and maintain and upgrade buildings and infrastructure on the Island. TGI is issuing this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) to seek proposals from prospective entities to perform various services described in this RFP for work that is in these three general categories of services: on-Call Contractors and trades for emergency and maintenance repairs and upgrades, small to medium-scale facilities and operations projects and consulting services.

The Trust for Governors Island invites food and beverage establishments to submit proposals on a rolling basis to operate on Governors Island. There are flexible, high-traffic stationary sites for buildout of semi-permanent structures, opportunities for mobile food carts, and locations for mobile food trucks. In addition to seasonal on-Island vending opportunities, there is opportunity for a concessionaire to operate a year-round café kiosk space in the lobby of the Battery Maritime Building, the Island’s primary Manhattan ferry terminal. Operators should consider which type of site best suits their business and offerings.

Request for Proposals: Retention of Auditing Firm

The Trust for Governors Island (“The Trust”) invites proposals from independent certified accounting firms (each firm a “Respondent”). The Trust seeks to retain a Respondent for a three-year (3) term, with two (2) one-year (1) options to renew, at The Trust’s sole discretion. The selected Respondent will agree to perform the following services: auditing, accounting, financial reporting pertaining to the examination of annual financial statements of The Trust, and other related services or projects, as may be identified by The Trust.
