We recommend that all visitors, including those who are eligible for a free fare, reserve tickets in advance through the ticket reservation system.
All tickets are round-trip; you may depart on any ferry you choose. Please note, if you travel to the Island on a Trust-operated ferry but want to leave on NYC Ferry, you will need to purchase an NYC Ferry ticket. Tickets are available at the NYC Ferry kiosk at Yankee Pier or on their mobile app.
Tickets can be scanned directly from your smart phone. However, if you prefer to print the tickets and bring them with you, the paper copy is acceptable for scanning as well.
Visitors are not guaranteed a spot on any ferry that is earlier or later than the departure time listed on their ticket. If you arrive earlier than your departure time or have missed your designated departure time, available spots on other ferries will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Please proceed to the standby line and our staff will do our best to get you on board if space is available.
