Additional Ticketing Information

Tickets will be released for additional dates monthly on the first of the month before (July tickets will be released June 1, etc.).

Please note, we are unable to process refunds for any ticket reservation. Any changes to your reservation must be made 48 hours in advance of your departure time, after which point we are unable to process adjustments.

The Trust for Governors Island offers special waived fares for non-profit community-based organizations, youth camps, and senior centers throughout New York City, subject to availability. FAQs

Have more questions before arriving? Read through these FAQs, or check out our Rules and Regulations.

All visitors, including those who are eligible for a free fare, must reserve tickets in advance through the ticket reservation system.

The departure time on your ticket is the ferry time where your spot is reserved. If you want to leave before or after that time, you will need to enter the standby line, as spots on other ferries will be first-come, first-served.

Tickets can be scanned directly from your smart phone. However, if you prefer to print the tickets and bring them with you, the paper copy is acceptable for scanning as well.

Visitors are not guaranteed a spot on any ferry that is earlier or later than the departure time listed on their ticket. If you arrive earlier than your departure time or have missed your designated departure time, available spots on other ferries will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Please proceed to the standby line and our staff will do our best to get you on board if space is available.

We are unable to process refunds for any ticket reservation. Any changes to your reservation must be made 48 hours in advance of your departure time, after which point, we are no longer able to process your request.

Due to limited ferry capacities and the new ticketing reservation system, all visitors must arrive to and depart from Governors Island on the same ferry to the same destination.
