[/caption] The Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s artist studios aren’t the only place where artists are busy at work on Governors Island! Better than Jam has taken over House 6 B in Nolan Park on the Island to showcase the work of craftsman and artisans. Participating artists have drawn on the Island’s history, architecture and activities to create their crafts. Visitors can stop by to purchase items or just view these pieces! Each weekend, artists and volunteers from Better than Jam will be in the house to chat with visitors, answer questions and talk about these unique works that were inspired by Governors Island.
