Cast­away Kitten

Yez, I own this town now.
Add one deter­mined house­cat to the grow­ing mena­grie of vis­it­ing fau­na on Gov­er­nors Island. Over the past sev­er­al years, the Island has host­ed a few tur­tles, a day-trip­ping Dutch cow, a way­ward Jer­sey deer, and we’re about to get some chick­ens. We think this kit­ty was swept out to the riv­er from Jer­sey dur­ing the big storms over the week­end, hitched a ride on some float­sam, and even­tu­al­ly land­ed on the rocks that encir­cle the Island. Her coat’s a lit­tle sea­weedy, but she’s oth­er­wise healthy and very friend­ly. Any infor­ma­tion that leads her back to her fam­i­ly is appre­ci­at­ed. Until then, she’s get­ting all the Fan­cy Feast her brave lit­tle heart desires. PS: Yes,we’ve called a vet. No, she does­n’t have her own @twitter han­dle… yet.
