Chau­tauqua Insti­tu­tion Brings Renowned Pro­grams to Gov­er­nors Island

(pho­to from www​.ciweb​.org)”][/​caption] On Sat­ur­day, Octo­ber 2, the Chau­tauqua Insti­tu­tion and the World Mon­u­ments Fund will bring an after­noon of pro­grams focus­ing on reli­gion, cul­ture, his­to­ry and archi­tec­ture to Gov­er­nors Island. The event, Reflec­tion of Sacred Spaces, a Chau­tauqua 2010 Theme,” fea­tures four renowned lec­tur­ers who will explore these themes in talks that are open to the pub­lic. The event is the first time Chau­tauqua has held a pro­gram here. Trin­i­ty Wall Street is host­ing the after­noon which is tak­ing place in St. Cor­nelius Chapel on the Island. At the con­clu­sion of each talk, the pub­lic is invit­ed to ask ques­tions, make com­ments and take part in the dia­logue. The sched­ule of talks is as follows:
