[caption id=“attachment_3679” align=“aligncenter” width=“300” caption=“Some of our visitors try spinning plates at the Big Apple Circus Family Fun Fest”][/caption] Ever wanted to learn how to juggle or walk on stilts like a clown? Or fly high on a trapeze? You can do all of this every weekend on Governors Island. Each Saturday and Sunday, the Big Apple Circus runs their Family Fun Fest workshops on the Parade Ground. At these workshops, kids and adults can learn how to walk on stilts, juggle, spin plates and much more. The workshops are free and run from noon to 3 PM. While you are clowning around, you may also notice that The Trapeze School has set up a rig on the southern end of the Parade Grounds, to run trapeze lessons. The school is run in collaboration with Big Apple Circus and you can register in advance for classes.
