Dark Star takes Island by Storm

[/wp_caption] This evening will mark the second ticketed concert out on Governors Island. The Dark Star Orchestra (DSO), a Grateful Dead tribute band, will be playing this evening from 7 to 11! The band is known for their perfectly oriented stage presence as they precisely replicate Grateful Dead concerts. On occasion, Bob Weir and Bill Kreutzmann (former Dead band members) have jumped up on stage and played with them. In 2004, DSO celebrated their 1000th concert, and having them come out to the Island is very exciting. The concert, presented by the Highline Ballroom, will be opened by Tea Leaf Green.
