Design, architecture, sustainability and fashion — Pioneers of Change has it all
Sep 10, 2009 7:19 pm
Starting tomorrow, Pioneers of Change, a celebration of Dutch design and architecture, will open to the public on Governors Island. Pioneers of Change has transformed eleven former officers’ houses into individual installations that range in subject from sustainable design, urban farming, fashion and fabric, and even a pop up store where everything costs less than $100. Visitors can stroll through a “tickle salon” or eat lunch at the “slow café.” You have to come out to the Island soon to catch this unique opportunity — it is open from September 10 — 13 and again from September 17 — 20.
