Glass­Lab by the Corn­ing Muse­um com­ing to Gov­er­nors Island!

Pho­to from the Corn­ing Musuem’s Glass­Lab’s website.[/caption] Begin­ning June 30, the Corn­ing Muse­um of Glass will trav­el to our own Gov­er­nors Island for an excit­ing joint ven­ture with the Coop­er Hewitt Nation­al Design Muse­um. Com­bin­ing graph­ic design and glass mak­ing, part­ner­ing artists will explore the use of this unique medi­um. The Corn­ing Muse­um of Glass in upstate New York boasts over 400,000 vis­i­tors per year, and allows vis­i­tors to expe­ri­ence the ener­gy of artists and design­ers at work.” Fol­low­ing their part­ner­ship with the Coop­er Hewitt, the Corn­ing Muse­um will con­tin­ue to show­case their work both nation­al­ly and inter­na­tion­al­ly.
