The Brook­lyn Dai­ly Eagle named Gov­er­nors Island as a ​“favorite Brook­lyn get­away spot.” 

Gov­er­nors Island is a quick sev­en minute ride from Brook­lyn Bridge Park’s Pier 6 and the fer­ries run once an hour every Sat­ur­day and Sun­day (and fer­ries are free until noon!)
