Governors Island is one of ‘great outdoor spots’ in New York City

The Associated Press has picked Governors Island as one of five great outdoor spots in New York City. They particularly loved the new Water Taxi Beach at Governors Island, as well as our five miles of car-free biking. In addition to all these great features, we also have hammocks to swing in, Adirondack chairs to lounge in, acres of green space on which you can run, play, picnic and fly kites, and of course, some of the best views around.
