New York magazine’s annual “Best of New York” issue features Governors Island, naming it the best day trip in New York City. It seems people really like our free ferry ride, mini golf, outdoor concerts and art, and more than seven miles of car-free biking. Just wait to see what we have in store for this summer. For the first time, our entire promenade will be open for biking and walking, we will have a brand new picnic area with unparalleled views of the Statue of Liberty and the Harbor, and new programs for everyone to enjoy.
