This weekend features something for everyone on Governors Island. On Saturday, visitors can celebrate Army Heritage Day with the National Park Service, play badminton with RECESS in Colonels Row and then, for those who have tickets, head to the Governors Ball music festival on the South Island Fields.

If you didn’t get your fix of music on the Island on Saturday, you can come back on Sunday for Make Music New York’s Punk Island. Punk Island will feature stages around the Island (except at Picnic Point) with performances throughout the day.
And all of this is in addition to all of the outdoor and indoor art exhibits, FIGMENT’s miniature golf course, car-free biking and programs with the National Park Service
