The Cooper Hewitt’s exhibit “Graphic Design: Now in Production” is residing in Building 110, much to the delight of the Trust as well as the island’s visitors. The exhibition features an array of graphic design works including posters, books, magazines, information graphics, and much much more. The curators, Andrew Blauvelt and Ellen Lupton talked to Metropolis Mag.com and commented on how the exhibit space on Governors Island affected how people might interpret the art saying, “the exhibition appears crowded and urban, much like New York. I think it will be quite different in terms of how people experience it, but the artifacts are the same.” To read the whole interview visit: http://www.metropolismag.com/story/20120608/the-heart-of-the-matter
