Kayaks, Fish­er­men, Mini Golf, Eric Bibb and More!

Near­ly 10,000 vis­i­tors came out to Gov­er­nors Island this weekened to expe­ri­ence the first-ever City of Water fes­ti­val, hear Eric Bibb in the Folks on the Island con­cert series, and enjoy Free Bike Fri­days. On Sat­ur­day, kayaks, fish­ing gear and his­toric ship­sout in New York Har­bor were com­mon sights both aroun­dand from Gov­er­nors Island. More than 200 kayak­ers land­ed here, and many oth­ers fished and enjoyed oth­er water based activ­i­ties. Thou­sands sat in the shade of Colonels Row to hear the cool sounds of renowned folk artist Eric Bibb. Next up on the Island — August kicks off with a Ron­ny Cox perfor­mance and a Rev­o­lu­tion­ary War week­end on Gov­er­nors Island!
