Kayaks, Fishermen, Mini Golf, Eric Bibb and More!

Nearly 10,000 visitors came out to Governors Island this weekened to experience the first-ever City of Water festival, hear Eric Bibb in the Folks on the Island concert series, and enjoy Free Bike Fridays. On Saturday, kayaks, fishing gear and historic shipsout in New York Harbor were common sights both aroundand from Governors Island. More than 200 kayakers landed here, and many others fished and enjoyed other water based activities. Thousands sat in the shade of Colonels Row to hear the cool sounds of renowned folk artist Eric Bibb. Next up on the Island — August kicks off with a Ronny Cox performance and a Revolutionary War weekend on Governors Island!
