[caption id=“attachment_4520” align=“aligncenter” width=“300” caption=“Some of the Island’s first visitors tried out FIGMENT’s miniature golf course.”][/caption] Governors Island welcomed tens of thousands of visitors this past weekend. Visitors picnicked next to sculptures that were a part of Mark di Suvero at Governors Island: Presented by the Storm King Art Center, played a few rounds of mini golf on FIGMENT’s “Bugs” course, had a beer at Brewers’ Pic-NYC, saw free art exhibitions in historic buildings, grabbed a free bike on Free Bike Fridays and enjoyed some of the best views in New York City. Whether you were lucky enough to enjoy the great weather on the Island over the past few days or if you haven’t yet come out, we hope you will come back this weekend for the World Science Festival and the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic.
