Pro­duce a Pro­gram or Exhi­bi­tion on Gov­er­nors Island!

We know you love vis­it­ing Gov­er­nors Island, now come pro­duce a pro­gram or exhi­bi­tion here! 

The Open­House­GI per­mit process for Gov­er­nors Island’s 2015 pub­lic access sea­son is open. Open­House­GI offers 150,000 square feet of indoor space in for­mer offi­cers’ hous­es and over 20 acres of out­door space free of charge to any orga­ni­za­tion that cre­ates pro­gram­ming that is free and open to the public.

All orga­ni­za­tions are wel­come to apply to Open­House­GI through the Trust’s web­site. In 2016, Gov­er­nors Island will be open every day from May 28 through Sep­tem­ber 25. 

In 2015, over 450,000 vis­i­tors came to the Island to expe­ri­ence the park, the views and the great pro­grams Open­House­GI had to offer. As part of Open­House­GI you’ll be in good com­pa­ny! Over 60 orga­ni­za­tions pro­duced site spe­cif­ic dance per­for­mances, edu­ca­tion­al work­shops, the­atri­cal pro­duc­tions, recre­ation­al and sports pro­grams, art exhibits, and much more for Island visitors.
