Space Shuttle Enterprise Heads Past Governors Island (Again!)

The Enterprise heads past Governors Island on its way to its new home on the Intrepid.[/caption] Last month, the space shuttle Enterprise flew over Governors Island on its way to New York City from Washington, DC. Today, it continued its journey as it traveled up the Hudson River via barge toward the Intrepid, where it will make its new home. [caption id=“attachment_5086” align=“aligncenter” width=“300”]
The space shuttle received a great salute from fire boats and onlookers as it sailed into New York Harbor.[/caption]
