Summer Fun Days

[/caption] The New York Times’s City Room blog has been recalling “Summer Fun Days” in an effort to take everyone’s mind off the incredible amounts of snow we have gotten already this winter. Recalling summer fun got us out here on Governors Island thinking of warmer days too. It may be hard to imagine playing a round of artist designed miniature golf on FIGMENT’s mini golf course or riding around the Island’s promenade on a bike and enjoying incredible views of the Harbor when we just got 19 inches of snow, but spring really is just a few months away. In fact, the Island’s opening day is four short months from yesterday. So we hope you will share with us some of your great memories of the Island from your past visits. Was it racing to Colonels Row to borrow a bike on Free Bike Fridays? Swinging at Picnic Point in view of the Statue of Liberty? Seeing art exhibits in the historic houses and around the Island?
