Take the East Riv­er Fer­ry to Gov­er­nors Island from Brook­lyn, Queens or Manhattan

For the first time, vis­i­tors can access the Island from Queens and Brook­lyn on Fri­days dur­ing our pub­lic sea­son. Start­ing tomor­row, vis­i­tors can take the new East Riv­er Fer­ry to the Island. Nor­mal­ly, the fare for the ser­vice is $4 for a one-way trip, but from now through June 24, the trip is FREE! The ser­vice will take vis­i­tors to Gov­er­nors Island from now through Sep­tem­ber 25. On Fri­days, the trip to Gov­er­nors Island is part of the Low­er Har­bor Loop which also includes stops at Atlantic Ave./Brooklyn Bridge Park, Brook­lyn Bridge Park/​DUMBO, and Pier 11/​Wall St. The fer­ry lands on Gov­er­nors Island approx­i­mate­ly every half hour from 11 AM to 4:15 PM. So get out on the water and take the East Riv­er Fer­ry to cel­e­brate a new way of get­ting to Gov­er­nors Island this season.
