More than 50,000 visitors came out to Governors Island over the past two weekends. If you weren’t one of them, or if you couldn’t get enough of the Island and want to come back again, there are three more weekends for visitors to experience all that is happening here. We are thrilled that more than 245,000 visitors have been to the Island so far this summer, and we hope many more will come to experience the ARCHEOLOGICAL DIG, miles of car-free biking, Figment’s City of Dreams miniature golf course, and many other special programs that are taking place over the next several weekends. Governors Island is open every Friday ‑Sunday through October 11. So come out to the Island to enjoy the first lovely weeks of fall in this incredible place before you have to wait to May to experience it again.
