Tour the Hills in a Hardhat

Go behind the con­struc­tion fence and get a sneak peak at the Hills on Gov­er­nors Island. 

The Hills, ris­ing 25 to 70 feet above the Island, will open to all on July 19, but vis­i­tors can get a sneak peek on a hard hat tour with Island staff and vol­un­teers. Vis­i­tors can gath­er at Liggett Hall Arch and 40 vis­i­tors may par­tic­i­pate in each tour, which lasts about one hour. Space is on a first come, first served basis. Hard hats and vests will be pro­vid­ed, but par­tic­i­pants must wear closed-toe shoes. Addi­tion­al tours will be sched­uled through­out the sea­son from now through July 19 when the Hills open. The tour this Sat­ur­day (06÷11) will leave from Ligget Hall Arch at 3:00pm.
