Michael Arenella and the Dreamland Orchestra come back to Governors Island this Saturday and Sunday! So haul out the seersucker and your best flapper dress and head to Colonels Row for an awesome afternoon rendezvous of live music and dance, instruction in period dances, picnicking, and games. This event requires tickets. They are $15 in advance. Children under 12 are free. After a rollicking afternoon of jazz music, drop into one of the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum’s family programs in Building 110 or take a bike ride down to Picnic Point to enjoy Storm King’s Mark di Suvero at Governors Island exhibition and meet resident goats Pearl and Browser at the Earth Matter Compost Learning Center. There is something for everyone this weekend!
