Tired of the hus­tle and bus­tle of New York City? Fer­ry over to Gov­er­nors Island this week­end for a nice lit­tle retreat. Go for a bike ride, have a pic­nic, or just sit by the water and enjoy the incred­i­ble views. We also have plen­ty of art exhibits, art work­shops, and even a poet­ry fes­ti­val! Open­ing of PUB­LIC SUM­MER: Library of Imme­di­a­cy by SUPER­FRONT, Sat­ur­day, 2 PM5 PM on the Parade Ground
Join SUPER­FRONT and Fig­ment in cel­e­brat­ing the open­ing of the out­door instal­la­tion, PUB­LIC SUM­MER: Library of Imme­di­a­cy, on Gov­er­nors Island. The Library of Imme­di­a­cy was designed and con­struct­ed by the archi­tec­tur­al duo, saA, who are Amy Chang and Seo Young Shin. The event will include a per­for­mance by artist Devin Ken­ny, a read­ing by Nicole Wal­lace and Will Edmis­ton, and live music. The instil­la­tion will remain on Gov­er­nors Island until Sep­tem­ber 23.
