Governors Island is home to diverse and exciting tenants and has a successful track record of year-round operation.
The New York Assembly Harbor School is in its seventh year on the Island, occupying two buildings and offering a unique maritime education program with a focus on hands on training which take advantage of the Island and harbor. The arts are also represented with the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) and the incoming Spaceworks artist studio programs. LMCC’s expanding program provides work and performance spaces for artists as well as exhibitions and public programs during the open season.
Commercial tenancy will arrive with the opening (expected in 2021) of the QC Terme destination day spa, a unique and delightful venue for rest, relaxation, and enjoyment of the Island and city.
