A Sweet Victory
Fana Fraser
A Sweet Victory is a group performance and experimental theater practice. This work casts spells for courage with its audience. Surreal scenes of dance and sound are being divined to unfurl with time across the Island.
A Sweet Victory is co-presented by JACK and Governors Island Arts as part of INTERVENTIONS and takes place on Governors Island. The performance begins around 3PM, but we invite you to arrive early. As everyone gathers, you’ll encounter movement, music, and other live moments that are part of the experience.
Governors Island is just a short ferry ride from Lower Manhattan. The Governors Island Ferry departs from the Battery Maritime Building (10 South Street) approximately every 15 minutes, including 2:15PM, 2:30PM, and 2:45PM. We recommend catching one of the earlier ferries so you can settle in and enjoy the afternoon as the performance unfolds.
In case of inclement weather, all ticketholders will be contacted to arrange a rain date, which is currently scheduled for August 2nd.
