A Sweet Victory

A Sweet Vic­to­ry is a group per­for­mance and exper­i­men­tal the­ater prac­tice. This work casts spells for courage with its audi­ence. Sur­re­al scenes of dance and sound are being divined to unfurl with time across the Island.

A Sweet Vic­to­ry is co-pre­sent­ed by JACK and Gov­er­nors Island Arts as part of INTER­VEN­TIONS and takes place on Gov­er­nors Island. The per­for­mance begins around 3PM, but we invite you to arrive ear­ly. As every­one gath­ers, you’ll encounter move­ment, music, and oth­er live moments that are part of the experience. 

Gov­er­nors Island is just a short fer­ry ride from Low­er Man­hat­tan. The Gov­er­nors Island Fer­ry departs from the Bat­tery Mar­itime Build­ing (10 South Street) approx­i­mate­ly every 15 min­utes, includ­ing 2:15PM, 2:30PM, and 2:45PM. We rec­om­mend catch­ing one of the ear­li­er fer­ries so you can set­tle in and enjoy the after­noon as the per­for­mance unfolds.

In case of inclement weath­er, all tick­ethold­ers will be con­tact­ed to arrange a rain date, which is cur­rent­ly sched­uled for August 2^nd.
