Amphora’s Amor­pha (Dance, Music, Pup­petry, The­ater, Art) is a mul­ti-media fes­ti­val fea­tur­ing more than 16 artists from Flux Fac­to­ry’s Gov­er­nors Island residency.

Octo­ber 2 will fea­ture out­door per­for­mances with visu­al art back­drops, show­cas­ing music by Alice Cohen and Break­away with a dance per­for­mance chore­o­graphed by Jes­si­ca Cook and Shizu Homma.

Octo­ber 9 will have indoor (with vac­ci­na­tion cards checked at the door) music per­for­mances by IDKMYBF­FJILL, a mul­ti­me­dia music show by Gui.dance, and the tiny, pre­cise­ly mechan­i­cal pup­petry of Dead­guy Puppetry.

Octo­ber 16 will have indoor (with vac­ci­na­tion cards checked at the door) musi­cal per­for­mances by Agua Viva from Argenti­na, a the­ater review by Saints of an Unnamed Coun­try, a poet­ry read­ing with fim and mod­u­lar synth by Chi­hi­ro Ito and Lee Tus­man, and an acoustic music per­for­mance by Apol­lo Flower Child.

Visu­al art will focus on how rep­re­sen­ta­tions of dif­fer­ences of scale imi­tate our rela­tion­ship to nature, with art instal­la­tions by Camil­la Padgitt-Coles, Jevi­joe, Zev Gustafson, Sal­ly Beau­ty Twin, Rebec­ca Bird and more.
