Friday, August 16 — Black August Celebration
Experience a day themed around Black August, honoring resilience, resistance, and culture. Enjoy dynamic movement, visual art, and culinary offerings:
Bachata Class with Abril Amparo
Live Drawing with Paula Walters Parker & DU Dancers
Cookout-style community food to enjoy throughout the day
Saturday, August 17 — Pua Aliʻi ʻIlima o Nuioka Day
Celebrate Hawaiian culture and heritage with the renowned hālau (school) and featured artists:

Lei Making Workshop
Storytelling
While you’re there, explore works by Paula Walters Parker, Abril Amparo, Matthew James, Claire Unabia, and Tommy Hite — each artist presenting unique perspectives through visual art that bridges dance, identity, and community. All art installations are open to guests throughout the weekend
