During Climate Week NYC 2026, Taiwanese-American artist Chin-Chih Yang revisits Carry Water, transforming the act of carrying water into a reflection on climate change, environmental responsibility, and our most essential resource. Beginning in the Taiwanese American Arts Council (TAAC) house in Nolan Park, building 17, Yang will carry and deliver water to arts organizations throughout Nolan Park, responding to a local reality: its historic houses have no running water. Through carrying and sharing water, Yang transforms an everyday necessity into a gesture of connection, community, and environmental awareness.

Participating artists include Mingjer Kuo, Mike Lin, Julia Hsia, I‑Chin Sung, Yu Yu Demi Chen, Kyunglim Lee, and Chia-Wei Chang

Taiwanese American Arts Council is one of the 2026 Governors Island Arts Organizations in Residence.
