This exhibition explores the yearnings and desires of the individual through art. The works serve as critical reflections of our land, wielding a unique power within the Puerto Rican psyche, often shaping our thoughts, emotions, and actions in profound ways. This exhibition presents a collective reflection, yet each artist remains focused on the shared identity as Puerto Ricans. It delves into deeper aspirations that may have been suppressed or overlooked for various reasons. By exploring this power, we can better understand ourselves and unlock new possibilities in our lives, delivering a message to both the diaspora and visitors unfamiliar with contemporary Puerto Rican art. The participating artists construct works to communicate ideas, emotions, and values, with the intention of helping the audience grasp the underlying messages within the art.
