Haunted Halloween Horror

Filmshop­per Dane Benko curat­ed a two-hour pro­gram of spooky cin­e­ma to close out the 2026 Filmshop res­i­den­cy on Gov­er­nors Island with a shriek and a bump in the dark. All short films are sourced local­ly from the twist­ed minds of the Filmshop net­work and their extend­ed zom­bie swarm of collaborators. 

The house will feel a lit­tle spook­i­er than usu­al, and the films will prime audi­ences for Hal­loween week­end. Cos­tumes encour­aged! There will be candy.

Screen­ings take place from 2:30pm‑4:30pm, so audi­ences have plen­ty of time to hang with the dement­ed direc­tors and still make it home before it gets too dark.

Filmshop is one of the 2026 Gov­er­nors Island Arts Orga­ni­za­tions in Res­i­dence.
