Nolan Park - Nolan Park - Building 17

The New York Arts Pro­gram is part­ner­ing with the Inde­ter­mi­na­cy Fes­ti­val’s Artis­tic Direc­tor Stanzi Vaubel and invit­ing artists to par­tic­i­pate in a net­work of per­for­mances at Governor’s Island called Four­teen Porch­es. Pre­miers will take place on June 7 and 8 as part of a two-day fes­ti­val line-up includ­ing new work by Melanie Ace­to, Emi­lie Clark, Volk­mar Klein, Simon Lee, Eve Suss­man, Lili Maya, and James Rou­velle. Free and open to all. 

Sched­ule

  • June 7, 7 – 8pm: Four­teen Porch­es, a site-spe­cif­ic per­for­mance to open the Fes­ti­val. Fea­tur­ing orig­i­nal music by Philippe Treuille and Stanzi Vaubel and involv­ing choir, cham­ber orches­tra, youth musi­cians, dance, and New York Arts Pro­gram appren­tices, the per­for­mance will be set on four­teen porch­es across Nolan Park.
  • June 8, 2 – 6pm: Trace Reverb Trace, an instal­la­tion by Lili Maya and James Rou­velle, and Nolan Place, an audi­ence-acti­vat­ed per­for­mance by Eve Suss­man, Simon Lee, and Volk­mar Klien.
The New York Arts Pro­gram is one of the 2024 Gov­er­nors Island Arts Orga­ni­za­tions in Res­i­dence.
