Island Lumi­nar­ia is a group art show com­posed of art that emits light and art depict­ing lumi­nes­cent bod­ies (sun, moon, stars). Rooms with­in Colonels Row Build­ing 404A will have art cat­e­gor­i­cal­ly by room – there’s a pro­jec­tion room, a celes­tial bod­ies paint­ing and sculp­ture room, a flu­o­res­cent art room, a lamp art room, a neon art room, and more.

This show will cul­mi­nate in the Flam­ing Crea­ture Crawl Parade on Sun­day, Sep­tem­ber 3, from dusk to 10pm. In this event, lanterns will be held depict­ing the flo­ra, fau­na and celes­tial bod­ies of Gov­er­nors Island accom­pa­nied by qui­et acoustic music. This event is free and open to the pub­lic as part of House Fest 2023.
