Monthly Public Art Tour

Gov­er­nors Island’s 120 acres of open space are dot­ted with site-spe­cif­ic pub­lic art pre­sent­ed through Gov­er­nors Island Arts, meant to prompt con­tem­pla­tion and encour­age vis­i­tors to engage with our var­ied land­scapes and histories.

These month­ly guid­ed tours will give you an in-depth look at the Island’s pub­lic art­works, with the 2026 sea­son’s new works focused on the theme of movement.

Please note: these tours are held entire­ly out­doors on Gov­er­nors Island. Please dress with the weath­er in mind. Tours depart from Sois­sons Land­ing at 11:45am every third Saturday.
