Visit the IPA’s overnight residency program on the Island at their Open [Block] House series. The IPA uses design to challenge social and physical inequities in the city by hosting focused design residencies and related programs. For the Summer 2022 season, the IPA has invited early and mid-career practitioners and academics to the Block House (Nolan Park Building 9) from the fields of social and environmental equity, climate change adaptation, and community-based alternatives to speculative real estate development. These IPA Fellows will work on independent projects and participate in a series of Open [Block] House events throughout the summer to share their work with the public, culminating in a final presentation and public exhibition. Fellows will be presenting their project progress in the various spaces of the Block House. Join a fellow “spotlight” to hear directly from the fellows and ask questions. Stop by an Open [Block] House to view works in progress and learn more.
