Plants Who Speak, a workshop and ceremony with Jimena Vega and Sarah Walko, explores creativity and our relationship with nature. Participants will walk through Governors Island, gather fallen leaves and natural materials, and create botanical monotypes using plants as inspiration. Together, the prints and collected materials will become a collective nature altar and ceremony. Through walking, observing, collecting, and creating, we are invited to slow down, listen, and ask: What might plants tell us if we learn how to listen?

Taiwanese American Arts Council is one of the 2026 Governors Island Arts Organizations in Residence.
