What's In the Cards? A Creative Climate Tarot Experience

What’s In the Cards? A Cre­ative Cli­mate Tarot Expe­ri­ence looks at the way that cli­mate change demands inter­ac­tion with the unknown. In this work­shop, join Cli­mate Imag­i­nar­i­um to cre­ate art inspired by nature and tarot while imag­in­ing solu­tions to face the future with resilience. For cen­turies, peo­ple across con­ti­nents and cul­tures have used div­ina­tion prac­tices like tarot to imag­ine the future. Tarot cards tra­di­tion­al­ly align with ele­ments of nature: water, fire, air, and earth. In this hands-on work­shop, par­tic­i­pants will famil­iar­ize them­selves with the local urban ecol­o­gy and cli­mate sto­ry­telling mod­els. Par­tic­i­pants will have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to make their own tarot card(s).
