PLEASE NOTE: World Bee Day has been rescheduled to Sunday, May 21, due to rain.

The Bee Conservancy presents their 2nd annual World Bee Day festival — a FREE family-friendly day that celebrates the 20,000+ bee species that pollinate 80% of the world’s flowering plants!

Hosted at the Urban Farm, they’ll offer fun, educational programming including Honey Bee Hive Dives,” arts and crafts, and native bee and habitat talks. Urban Farm neighbors Earth Matter will host a Seed Bomb Making Station and GrowNYC will reveal how to dissect a flower using their own blooms grown locally on the island. Plus, enjoy face painting and a musical performance!

Learn how to build sustainable pollinator habitats, discover the fascinating world of ground- and cavity- nesting bees, peek inside a colony of tens of thousands of honey bees. Enjoy complimentary gift bags and goodies from our sponsor, Zarbee’s on a first come, first serve basis.
