Beam Center is a Brooklyn-based maker space that engages children, teens, teachers and artists in spectacular collaborative project-making. This year on Governors Island, Beam Center is hosting artists from a variety of creative practices for multi-week residencies. Beam is thrilled to welcome all artists to their community, and to spend the summer working to collectively further Beam Center’s creative practices on Governors Island. Visit weekends to view works in progress, meet the artists and more.
