I AM CARIBBE­ING returns to Gov­er­nors Island for their fourth sea­son, bring­ing bold cre­ativ­i­ty, rhythms, and sto­ries of the Caribbean back to the har­bor. This sum­mer, I AM CARIBBE­ING brings ¢urren$ea to Gov­er­nors Island, an immer­sive res­i­den­cy explor­ing Caribpoli­tan iden­ti­ty, exchange, and empow­er­ment through paint­ing, abstrac­tion, illus­tra­tion, and spo­ken word. Four vision­ary artists inves­ti­gate what gets car­ried across oceans, what is left behind, and what is claimed anew. Inside the CaribBE­ING House on Colonels Row, expe­ri­ence art that is bold, root­ed, and unapolo­get­i­cal­ly Caribbean.
