I AM Caribbe­ing returns to Gov­er­nors Island for their third sea­son with bold cre­ativ­i­ty, rhythms, and sto­ries of the Caribbean back to the har­bor. This year, they’re cen­ter­ing art as a form of resis­tance, reflec­tion, and cel­e­bra­tion. Each week­end, immerse your­self in a vibrant mix of poet­ry, sto­ry­telling, and visu­al expres­sion root­ed in Caribbean her­itage. On view May 23– June 30, don’t miss Pearl of the Antilles. Part­ner­ing with Photodom, I AM CaribBE­ING show­cas­es the beau­ty and com­plex­i­ty of Haiti through the work of tal­ent­ed Hait­ian artists from both Haiti and the diaspora.
