The SuperGeographics

The Super­Geo­graph­ics are an inter­na­tion­al ensem­ble of artists mak­ing the­atre to build equi­table rela­tion­ships between tra­di­tion­al­ly dom­i­nant and per­va­sive­ly mar­gin­al­ized cul­tures & bod­ies, exchange images and ideas across dis­parate cul­tures, chal­lenge form through works that are high­ly ath­let­ic, tex­tu­al­ly bold, and intel­lec­tu­al­ly rig­or­ous. On Gov­er­nors Island, they will host ​“Scratch Pad,” a new ver­sion of their devel­op­ment pro­gram that sup­ports artists devel­op­ing their own mate­r­i­al. This res­i­den­cy pro­gram will bring their vast net­work of cre­atives togeth­er in a sin­gle hub, allow­ing for a rich peri­od of devel­op­ment across the pro­gram­ming season.
