Did you know that near­ly 240 bird species have been spot­ted on Gov­er­nors Island? Whether you’re an expert bird­er or a begin­ner, these free week­ly tours from the NYC Bird Alliance will help you dis­cov­er what makes this island an excel­lent place for birding. 

Reg­is­tra­tion not required but encour­aged. Binoc­u­lars are avail­able on a first come, first served basis. All tours depart from the Sois­sons Land­ing Wel­come Cen­ter. Gov­er­nors Island Vol­un­teers are locat­ed on the fer­ry land­ing and can help direct you to the meet­ing location.
